Aska Bolgheri Rosso DOC 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc is a wine born from Banfi’s adventure in the Bolgheri area.
Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with minor percentages of Cabernet Franc.
DENOMINATION: DOC Bolgheri
The grapes are vinified with a brief maceration in temperature-controlled steel tanks for approximately 12-14 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 10 months in oak barrels, completing its evolution with an appropriate bottle aging.
Fermentation: in temperature-controlled (25-28° C) stainless-steel tanks.
Aging: in French oak barriques (225 & 350 l) for about 10 months.
Complex aroma, characterized by hints of small red fruits accompanied by notes of tobacco and liquorice. Soft wine with sweet and elegant tannins. Long and persistent finish.
Thanks to the good structure and elegance that distinguish it, Aska goes perfectly with game dishes like stewed roe, tortelli with wild-boar ragout, and La Barrique Wine Bar tartare.
